Hey There!

Thought I’d share with you guys my love for midi skirts through this post. Midi’s first came into trend in the 1970s and took over the fashion scene like a storm. Once again, fashion repeated itself and midi skirts were brought back in trend around 2012. I seem to haven’t gotten over my love for them though. There’s something so feminine and classic about midi skirts that my love for them just seems to grow everyday. So take a look at how I wore this blush pink midi –

The key to wearing a midi skirt is to ensure that the length is just appropriate. Make sure that your midi skirt ends right above the knee or just below it in order to ensure appropriate length. If it’s too long and it ends up reaching the thicker portion of your calf, it’s bound to make your legs look stumpy. So keep that in mind while buying one for yourself (or you can just get the hemline altered a bit by your tailor!).

I personally feel that pairing this casual skirt with a fluid top has a really flattering impact on the overall look and I like how the wedges make me feel so girly and fun!

Also, a pair of simple earrings and a minimal neckpiece really complete the look for me. I suggest you experiment with the earrings since I personally cannot (I’m allergic to all metal other than gold and silver).

Also, I kept my makeup minimal with hints of pink to complete the look.

Considering that my personal style swings towards minimalism, I decided to go with solid colours and separates. If you’re more experimental, I would suggest pairing a printed top with this skirt.

I hope this post has inspired you to go shopping for some yummy midi skirts.

I really hope that you guys like the look. Outfit details are right after all the pictures :).
