Hey guys!

Now that winter is sort of here, I thought I’d kickstart my winter dressing posts with a simple yet classy styling post. If you have been following my blog for a while, you would know that my style of dressing swings towards minimal. You would never find me with tonnes of things layered on top of one another. That’s just not me. So winter dressing can be a little tough for me. Thankfully it just isn’t that cold in Delhi and I can actually survive with minimal layering. Please do not ask me how I survived that one whole year of winter when I was living in London!

Anyway, I love spending winter in oversized sweaters as I’m all for comfort and ease. So this year, I decided to take that look up a notch and show you girls (who enjoy comfort dressing as much as me :D) how to dress up your oversized baggy sweaters. Here, if you see, I’ve paired this gorgeous pink sweater with a lovely pink skirt in a similar shade. As long as you keep one part of the outfit more form fitting, it should not be a problem. The same concept applies when you pair an oversized sweater with leggings or skinny jeans. Girls, do not worry about pairing the same colour top with the bottom. As long as they have a distinct style of their own, you can really make them look good together. In fact, you can wear the sweater with a maxi dress or a skater dress as well (here’s to recycling your summer wardrobe!)

I paired my outfit with this gorgeous pair of marsala peep toes that I recently picked up from Charles & Keith and a maroon coloured envelope clutch from Da Milano. Since you’re wearing an oversized baggy sweater, do ensure that you wear a killer pair of heels so that you take the glam level of the look up a notch. The best thing to do with this look is to lightly accessorise it as its all about comfort and minimal dressing. In fact, I skipped the earrings and just stuck to wearing a nice necklace with my rose gold Michael Kors watch.

Make up

Since the look is a minimal one, the make up too can follow the same lines. Keep your face fresh and cover it with a simple base to ensure even ness of skin texture and complexion. Add a dust of blush to your cheeks just so you don’t look pale. You can choose to lightly line your eyes with some eyeliner or even skip it if you like. I did line my eyes as mine are really big and it feels a little incomplete to me if I skip the eyeliner.

To complete the look, wear a bright colour of lipstick that makes your face pop even in the drab weather 🙂
